How the Upholstery Process Works

This is the design stage, where I see the furniture and you tell me your ideas and more about the piece. We can bounce ideas around and be as creative as you would like. I will assess the condition of the piece and we will discuss what needs to be done.  There is no charge for the design stage. 

Once we have a general idea of what needs to be done, we can select the fabric.  I can source a fantastic variety of fabrics from a range of high quality suppliers.  Whether it's bold prints and colours, neutral tones, interesting textures, or fabrics that stand up to harder use by children and pets, we can work together to identify the right fabric for you. 

With all the information we've gathered, I can now produce an estimate for the upholstery work. This will also include a timeline for when the work will be completed. 

This is the really fun bit for me! I upholster your furniture and get to turn your piece into a bespoke and totally personal item. I will be using either traditional or modern techniques, depending on the requirements of the job, along with high quality products.

My aim is to make working together as easy, professional, and enjoyable as possible.  This is right through from the design stage to the finished article leaving my studio.  I will keep you updated on progress throughout the project.
